Babyshambles tour attacked by critics
The first night of Babyshambles' arena tour has been attacked by critics.
The gig at Manchester's MEN Arena was nowhere near sold out and has been described as "lacklustre" by reporters.
Pete Doherty's band played tunes from their albums Down In Albion and Shotter's Nation, choosing not to play covers of Libertines songs, as they have occasionally done in the past.
Doherty walked onstage to the Steptoe and Son TV theme tune and was greeted by an enthusiastic but sparse audience.
