Arctics Win South Bank Award

Arctic Monkeys have won the Pop Music prize at the South Bank Show Awards, beating Radiohead.
The band got seven nominations for the NME Awards yesterday then went to the arts show’s ceremony to pick their statue up.
The Sheffield group were in an unusually good mood when accepting the award from Kelly Osbourne.
“The kids are here!” said singer Alex Turner before joking about a Hollywood star in attendance. “I really wouldn’t like to be told off by Kevin Spacey. That’s all I’ve been thinking about.”
